I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
